This page explains what personal information I collect through this website, how I use it, and the rights you have over it. I have kept it short and plain, in keeping with how I work.
Who I am
This website is run by Leah Carnegie, a strategic advisor based in Gibraltar. I am the data controller for the information collected here. If you have any questions about your data, or want to exercise any of the rights set out below, email me at hello@leahcarnegie.com.
What I collect
I only collect what you choose to give me:
- Your email address, if you request the guide "The Cost of a Stuck Decision" through the form on this site.
- Anything you share when you book a conversation, or when you email me directly.
This website runs no analytics, no advertising trackers, and sets no cookies of its own.
Why I collect it, and the legal basis
- To send you the guide you asked for, and occasional emails and newsletters, on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- To arrange conversations and reply to enquiries, on the basis of my legitimate interest in running my advisory practice and responding to people who contact me.
The services I use
A few trusted providers help me run this site and deliver the guide. They process your data on my behalf, under their own privacy terms, and only as needed to provide their service:
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit): email delivery and subscription management. Their privacy policy.
- Calendly: scheduling, if you book a conversation. Their privacy policy.
- Vercel: website hosting. Their privacy policy.
Where your data is held
Some of these providers are based in the United States. Where your information is transferred outside Gibraltar, the UK or the EU, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep it
I keep your email address for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, or ask me to delete your data, I remove it promptly. Enquiry correspondence is kept only as long as it is useful to help you.
Your rights
Under data protection law you have the right to access the data I hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how I use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@leahcarnegie.com and I will respond within one month.
If you believe I have mishandled your data, you can also complain to the Gibraltar Regulatory Authority at gra.gi, or to the supervisory authority in your own country.
Unsubscribing
Every email I send carries an unsubscribe link, and one click removes you from the list. You can also email me and I will do it for you.
Changes to this policy
If I change how I handle your data, I will update this page and the date at the top.
